What is the SVPTA?

The SVPTA is a group of dedicated parent volunteers who work tirelessly to help our students and school thrive. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and spearhead efforts to directly and wholly fund enrichment programs, assemblies, school activities/events, and field trip scholarships. We provide enrichment monies to teachers and staff members for needed supplementary classroom materials, furniture, experiences and programs. We also fund ongoing school facilities improvements/upgrades and campus beautification projects. Additionally, our PTA hosts a variety of teacher appreciation events throughout the year, including snacks/luncheons and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Our ability to provide support and resources for these “extras” in our children's educational experience would not otherwise happen, and is dependent on donations (monetary and volunteer hours) and on our fundraising success. 

How you can help:

• Become a Member – Actively engage in your child’s education! See the attached Membership form, or visit the SVPTA website (www.silvavalleypta.org) to join.
• Volunteer – Be a room parent, work at events, help in the garden and/or serve on a committee. Email us at silvavalleyptaedh@gmail.com to express your interest.
• Stay Informed – Read our emails and notices sent home with students. Like/follow us on Facebook (@silvavalleyelementarypta) and Instagram (@silvavalleyptaedh) to stay up-to-date on PTA news & events.
• Donate – Make a tax-deductible donation, which will directly fund projects, resources, and materials for Silva Valley students. Visit the SVPTA website (www.silvavalleypta.org) to make a donation.
• Attend PTA Events – Become an active member of the Silva Valley community by attending events such as Simply Sweet Friday Treats, Food Truck Mania, Harvest Festival, Family Dance, and the Silva Valley Gala
