Silva Valley Elementary School, home of the Golden Eagles, is a TK-5th grade school located in El Dorado Hills, California. Silva Valley Elementary is one of six elementary school sites in the Buckeye Union School District, and we serve approximately 450 students from the surrounding neighborhood. Our school has an outstanding reputation for academic excellence in our community.
The Silva Valley staff looks forward to working with you to maximize your child’s educational experiences. We will devote all our expertise and energy to establishing a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging learning environment for all students. Instruction in our core reading, writing, and math programs is provided in a variety of ways to promote student learning. Support services are provided in math and reading for struggling students. We understand students are more successful when strong connections are made with students by adults. Support is provided by our school counselor and school staff to support the social-emotional needs of all of our students.
As educators, we firmly believe that a strong family-school partnership is essential to student success and achievement. Monthly newsletters from the principal and weekly Friday Folders, and other weekly notices by teachers promote clear communication between the school and home. Our PTA works closely with our community and coordinates fun family events that enrich our school culture. The donations of families bring the students exciting and enriching assemblies, contribute to our technology needs, and support our visual arts program.
The school staff is committed to providing a safe, orderly and caring learning environment where students feel comfortable, share responsibility for maintaining a positive school climate and take pride in their school and achievements. Silva Valley Elementary offers programs that provide a safe and caring learning environment, such as Team Eagle, Kindness Crew, and Student Council. As a school, we encourage attitudes and behaviors that promote mutual respect and harmonious relations.
As a school, we are implementing a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) model. PBIS is a systems approach to promoting positive student conduct at school.
